I purchased a young mare named Drifter in May of 2008. She is a cremello Quarter Horse mare. She was started under saddle in the fall of 2008 and delivered a healthy filly April 11, 2009. Since she came to me with no formal training I am blogging to explore the process of horsemanship, non-traditional training methods and holistic training with this beautiful mare.
In horse ridding, the most affected parts of the horse are the mouth and the loins, particularly in jumping. Teaching proper horse jumping will benefit not only the horse and the rider but to the horsemanship program in general.
